1992 The Future Sound Of London 'Papua New Guinea' 12"

UK first pressing of The Future Sound Of London's debut single, the ambient breakbeat anthem 'Papua New Guinea', released on Jumpin' & Pumpin' in May of 1992

Even if you're not familiar with FSOL, chances are you've heard this one more than once. It's perfect club and chill material, featuring a haunting vocal shrewdly sampled from Dead Can Dance's 'Dawn of the Iconoclast'. Apparently Garry Cobain heard 'Dawn' on a mixtape and lifted the sample straight from it as he didn't own a copy of the album the track was from. This 12" includes the incredible original mix and epic 11 minute long Andrew Weatherall mix amongst many others
