Really nice First Independent VHS of David Cronenberg's 1991 film adaptation of William S. Burroughs' 1959 novel of the same name, with an alternative sleeve to the previous copy we stocked
It's a surreal and hypnotic treat. Not exactly a straightforward adaptation of Burrough's novel, more like a biography mixed with elements of his work and an interpretation of his drug-fuelled writing processes. Incredible soundtrack by frequent Cronenberg collaborator Howard Shore, too
