Arguably the book that put him in the public eye and launched his career, Thompson’s ‘Hell’s Angel’s’ is the story of a man following the notorious biker gang around the Bay Area during 1965.
He would follow the San Francisco and Oakland chapters throughout the year to see how they lived their lives, and studied their behaviour at various meets and gatherings. Becoming so close with some that he would befriend various members ending in a very uncomfortable way.
In what is a pretty shocking book, you’ve got to give it a read if you’re interested in bike culture, the legend that is Hunter Thompson and also 60’s counter culture.
The dust jacket is in fair condition & has not been price clipped, with the book itself in very good condition for its age.
