1964 Alex Comfort 'Sex in Society'

1964 Pelican edition of British scientist and physician Alex Comfort's book 'Sex in Society' (first published as 'Sexual Behaviour in Society' (1950)) in which he asks: is the proper end of sex procreation or play? And: do people think rationally about sex? Comfort argues argues that, in our sexually dysfunctional society -most do not. He suggests 'The main educative task is one of emotional deflation, the letting in of sense and study to replace stereotyped responses'.
