1996 Rage Against The Machine 'Evil Empire' Cassette

Original cassette copy of the awesome second studio album by LA's Rage Against the Machine, released in April 1996 on Epic Records

The album's title 'Evil Empire' is taken from what the band saw as Ronald Reagan and the American conservatives slander of the Soviet Union in the eighties - which they felt could just as easily apply to the United States, and the iconic yellow sleeve art features a tweaked version of the 50s comicbook hero 'Crimebuster' (with the 'c' on his top replaced by an 'e'). The album's sleeve also features themes created by Barbara Kruger, and some of her artwork appears in the 'Bulls on Parade' video. Passionate and powerful sociopolitical rap metal perfection
