1965 LIFE Magazine Skateboard Issue

What was then thought of as a kids toy, the May 14th issue in 1965 focuses on 'Skateboard Mania' and has one of the most iconic images in skateboard history as its cover.

Patti McGee was the worlds first professional womens skateboarder having turned pro in '65 after winning the National Skateboard Championships in 1964. The image threw her into stardom as she then went on to feature on the Tonight Show with Jonny Carson and even got on the cover of Skateboard magazine.

In very good used condition with discolouration and light marks throughout with previous owners subscription sticker on cover.
