90's La Haine Tartan VHS

The film begins with powerful footage of rioting in the banlieue. We then spend 24 hours in the company of three young friends from different backgrounds, struggling to get by in the ghetto suburbs of Paris. It's a timeless, hard-hitting commentary on oppresion, still hugely relevant today and featuring a blistering soundtrack by French hardcore rap group Assassin. For fans of Scorsese who've not yet seen, this one really is a must.
