1974 William Burroughs 'The Soft Machine'

1974 Corgi reissue with the new artwork of Burroughs’ surreal, savage and darkly funny novel ‘The Soft Machine’, first published in 1961.

The first part of ‘The Nova Trilogy’, it’s structured in a similar fashion to Naked Lunch and employs his extraordinary  ‘Cut Up’ technique. A secret agent who has the ability to metamorphose his own body using "U.T." (undifferentiated tissue) builds a time machine and takes on a gang of Mayan priests...

The book is in good condition with visable creasing on the spine and front cover.
