1992 Smashing Pumpkins 'Gish' Cassette

Original UK cassette copy of the debut studio album by Chicago alt rock/grunge innovators the Smashing Pumpkins, 'Gish', released in the summer of 1991 on Caroline/Hut Records. Billy Corgan once described 'Gish' as "an album about pain and spiritual ascension" and it's not hard to see why. It's a deeply rich, personal and emotional record to listen to. Co-producer Butch Vig has talked a lot about the amount of effort that went into the production and performances, describing how Corgan and he would spend hours on a guitar tone, tuning drums, or building harmonies and textures. Corgan also went on to say: "It's almost like an instrumental album, it just happens to have singing on it"...

One of the greatest grunge albums of all time, in our opinion.
