Stunning Derek Jarman VHS from 1981 'In the Shadow of the Sun' - a 50 minute feature made up of a series of short films shot by Jarman during the early 70's on a Nizo Super-8 Camera. Its a hell of a journey this one, described as a "very personal" with a dreamlike repetitive quality. The film is extremely expansive and touches on magic, alchemy and ritual "allowing dream-images to drift and collide at random"
Throbbing Gristle provide the uncompromising soundtrack, this was requested in 1981 when the film was first released.
