Original double 12" copy of Sonic Youth's legendary seventh studio album 'Dirty', released on DGC records in 1992

Inspired by the early 90s grunge scene and a European tour with Nirvana and Dinoasaur Jr amongst others, the Youth teamed up with producer Butch Vig and mixer Andy Wallace (who had both worked on 'Nevermind') to create an unforgettable masterpiece, easily one of their finest moments. Nearly 30 years on, there's still no escaping the iconic stuffed toy album sleeve, too - a photo taken by Kim Gordon's artist friend Mike Kelley...
