Shortly after the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis in 1980, remaining Joy Division members Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and Bernard Sumner vouched to continue on under a new new name with a new sound. 'Movement' is the perfect blend of Joy Division's moody post-punk rawness and the fresh new wave/sythn pop sound which would later come to difine New Order
